Who We Are
4xSolar was founded in 2026 by Carlos Diaz, a retired U.S. Air Force pilot based in Tucson, Arizona.
In the cockpit, failure wasn't an option. Equipment either worked when it mattered or people got hurt. That's the standard Carlos brought to 4xSolar: every product in this store has to work when it matters — on a ridge at 3 a.m. with a dead battery, in a lightning storm that just took out the neighborhood, on the last night of a two-week overland trip when the fridge is the only thing keeping food from spoiling.
That military mindset drives everything we do — from the suppliers we choose to the gear we recommend. We don't carry products we wouldn't trust in our own rig.
What We Sell

- LiFePO4 Power Systems — Battery banks, DC-DC chargers, MPPT controllers, and inverters for full off-grid vehicle and home builds.
- GMRS Radios — Midland and other FCC-certified radios for off-grid communication when cell service disappears.
- Starlink Accessories — Mounts, adapters, and portable-power kits for keeping connectivity live away from the grid.
- Preparedness & Recovery Gear — Go-bag essentials, tactical MOLLE gear, winch ropes, D-shackles, and survival equipment.
Our Approach
We're a lean operation and proud of it. Every product in our store is selected based on real-world testing data, community reviews, and proven track records. If we wouldn't put it in our own Jeep, we won't sell it to you.
Where we haven't been able to vet a category yet — like standalone LiFePO4 batteries, which we're still finalizing product liability insurance for — we tell you honestly and point you to brands we do trust (Battle Born, LiTime, Renogy). No hype, no dropshipping mystery.
We ship direct from US-based supplier warehouses, which means faster delivery and lower overhead that we pass on to you.
The Lab
Most stores sell you products. We want to help you understand them.
The Lab is where we break down the science, test the gear, and share what we find — LiFePO4 vs. AGM cycle economics, real-world panel output derating on hot hoods, GMRS range testing. Every article is cited, every claim is backed by data. It's the same standard Carlos was held to in the Air Force: if you can't cite it, don't claim it.

We're headquartered in Tucson — surrounded by the kind of terrain that demands reliable off-grid gear. The Sonoran Desert is our backyard and our testing ground. If a panel holds up to 115°F August sun and monsoon dust, it'll hold up anywhere.
